Distillex Ltd is a privately owned company with two UK-based manufacturing facilities – in Leyland, Lancashire and North Shields, Tyne & Wear. The company, which has 44 staff, has been supplying solvents and providing recycling and disposal services for 18 years. We aim to provide: quality prime and recycled products safe and practical solutions to solvent recycling and chemical waste disposal. We have three core businesses. The first two are associated with supplying and recycling commodity solvents to the metal, plastic and other processing industries. Additionally, we supply specialised applications with more precisely blended formulations such as those used by flexographic platemakers. Our third core business is chemical waste cataloguing and disposal. This service is used by a wide spectrum of clients with orders ranging from a few hundred grams of laboratory chemicals to full loads. In the current year we will: recycle 10,000 tonnes of waste solvents provide over 6 million litres of recycled solvents supply 3 million litres of prime solvents handle 1000 tonnes of other chemical wastes for disposal. Distillex is authorised by the Environment Agency to provide all the above services.
